This place is a sanctuary now

Let no more violence befall

Those who reside here

I say to them

They knew nothing but violence

Their lives a constant conflict

Some were relieved

Others were tense

One was grinning

A wide, unflinching grin

I ignored it

I taught everyone how to relax

Allowing my focus to drift like the wind

They followed my lead

But then the screams came

The shots rang

I found the one from earlier

Still grinning

He said to me through his teeth

This place is a graveyard now
